Marisa and Jesus' friendship started a decade ago at Suncoast Community High School when they were in the same friend group. (Here's a pic from 2018 at their high school graduation!).

During the summer of 2020, Marisa and Jesus' relationship started after being sent home from college. They bonded over hiking and camping in national parks.

In keeping with tradition, Jesus and Marisa spent their first anniversary hiking the 240 mile John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada.

In 2022, after graduating from the University of Florida the previous year, Marisa moved in with Jesus at the MIT Sigma Nu frat house. They lived there for six months while Jesus finished his last semester. (Here's a picture from Jesus' graduation, June 2022!)

After living in Boston for a year and working on a company together, Marisa and Jesus moved out to California to their current home in San Francisco.

One of their big milestones was climbing the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States, Mt. Whitney! After a 12-hour road trip, pitching a tent at 12k feet, the couple then summited the 14,505-foot mountain.

On January 9, 2025, after visiting Marisa's family in Leyte, Philippines, Marisa and Jesus took a trip to Palawan and got engaged!

Jesus and Marisa spent six weeks exploring Europe during the summer of 2025. They went to Bulgaria, Greece, Austria, Spain, Ireland, Scotland, and England. They had a wonderful time attending friends' weddings, visiting family & friends, and exploring new countries.
